Before the TV commercials, the ad agencies, a boy lived on Ke Iki Beach in Hawaii. That's where he first discovered it and fell in love with the images. By the time the family moved to California, surfing was all the rage. John Holm and his buddies in Burlingame used to drive over the hill to Half Moon Bay, their boards in the back of his fathers pickup truck.
It was a golden time, California in the 1960's, an endless summer. But it would all soon change. After graduating from the Art Center in LA, he moved north and got a job in advertising. Within a year he got his induction notice. Welcome to Vietnam. The Navy trained him to be a pilot and he flew Grumman S-2 submarine trackers. He fought the war in Monterey and never saw a sub.
Four years later he was back on Madison Avenue, partners in a commercial production company. Then Publicis advertising in Seattle. 35 years in a crazy business filled with crazy people, but he never forgot the images, the moments. A few years ago he began painting again, developing a fluid impressionistic style that captures the beauty and essence of surfing.
All images are original acrylic paintings on either wood or canvas. Frames are hand made by John and included free. Please contact Ray or Stu for pricing and additional images. Mahalo Nui Loa!

Tim lives on Oahu, Hawaii and his oil and lacquer paintings are exhibiting through out Hawaii, Asia, Europe, and America. Tim’s art is collected worldwide and sought after for both his creative expressions reflecting the culture and beauty that surrounds him as well as his sensitivity and mastery of the medium.
Not formally trained as an artist Tim has always had an interest in art since a young age. Around the age of 31, after a spontaneous move to Hawaii from LA, his first career as a taxi driver took a back seat. Tim got a shot of encouragement while showing and selling his work at the Zoo Fence in Honolulu on a Sunday afternoons. After early success Tim parked his taxi and began painting full time. His brush has lead him many places including trips back to his roots in Vietnam where he created and currently manages a lacquer painting factory.

Steven Valiere
Paradise Found
After thirty five years of international surfing, Steven Valiere doesn’t just know his subject matter-he’s lived it every day of his life. A self-schooled artist with very little formal training, Steven works in acrylics to create bold, multi-layered surfscapes celebrating the joy of carving fades, gouging bottom turns, deep tube rides and sweeping aerials, done with the grace of a Balinese dancer. In Valiere’s mythical paradise of no contest, surf camps, or wet suits, aborigines surf in a dream world-The Art of Surfing.
About the Artist
As a teenager in southern California during the sixties, surfing was the driving force, rock ‘n roll the heartbeat and art the soul that shaped Steven Valiere’s world.
The North Shore of Oahu and Maui in the fall and winter of 1970 opened his mind and eyes. The new places and faces stimulated a curiosity to expand his horizon. In early 1972 he boarded a plane to Peru, promising to return to college in a year but Stevens education was taking a different path. Valiere’s odyssey took him to some of the worlds most remote spots in an extraordinary adventure the most surfers only dream of. From Peru to Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Indonesia, and uncharted villages of Papua New Guinea, Steven surfed virgin tubes of no name and no end.
Valiere has resided in the Hawaiian islands since 1978 and the memory of awe inspiring waves and aboriginal cultures he lived side by side with, would never leave him. Steven continues his passions for surf, travel, and painting, living on Kauai’s north shore.
Aloha
“Being within and a part of the energy of a swell formed from a huge storm somewhere and climaxing in perfection along a reef or shore…it’s what surfing is all about. Sharing that energy has always touched on the mystical for me and I want to share that with others through my art. Today I’m inspired by my children’s surfing and their generation, the cultures and arts of peoples throughout the world, four decades in the ocean.” - Steven Valiere

The son of artist Milan, Miguel inherited his father's creative passion and made it his own. His images portray the natural wonders of Hawaii, from the region's violet-hued peaks to its golden beaches fringed with windswept palms.
Miguel's canvases examine rainbow-wreathed mountains, sunsets shimmering across the water and waves sweeping over half-submerged rocks. Always, he applies expertly blended color to illuminate and highlight his subjects, while his work's dynamic motion communicates the vitality of the living sea.
Widely acclaimed for the power and majesty of his paintings, this second-generation artist is first in the eyes of collectors from several continents.

Philippine-born Arozi is a self-taught artist who began drawing at an early age. Now living in Australia, he has gained international renown for painting passionate seascapes that showcase the translucent light of the ocean and the transparent light of the sky.
Arozi defines his style as realism based on fantasy, and his art as a quest to capture the ocean's magnificence and the light that illuminates it.
He uses both real and fictional locations for his settings, blending light and shadow to depict the breaking waves of the sea against the sky. He employs the technique of glazing: superimposing thin layers of paint atop each other to achieve a rich depth of color.
The storms that have churned the world's seas in recent years have inspired an evolution in Arozi's artwork and his palette. In his sailboat series he strives to communicate the exhilaration and challenge of sailing through an unexpected storm. His series featuring stormy shorelines uses dark colors to emphasize the ocean's turbulence and evoke the sense of a tempest.
All paintings are original oil on canvas.

Giorgio Naranjo has been painting since the age of 11 years. Born in Ecuador and having created art throughout Central and South America, Europe and the Orient, he has been a resident in the Hawaiian Islands since 1981 and has chosen the beautiful island of Kauai as his home and favorite subject to paint.
Giorgio’s virtually new approach to capturing the beauty of Hawaii and beyond is his trademark. Called “Plein air”, Giorgio “sculpts” vibrant images with color. His paintings radiate unique dimensions and incredible depths. Giorgio’s Gallery also exhibits other artists, including some from Thailand and other regions of the Pacific.

Raised on the tropical island of Kauai, Reyna paints the beauty of the mountains, ocean, and palms. As an outdoor enthusiast, I have grown up exploring sea-caves, surfing, and climbing waterfalls. The ocean is my playground. The driving rhythm of the waves controls the pulse of my paintings; soothing yet powerfully moving, each living a unique moment. Surrounded by color, I paint the joy I feel. In a playful and whimsical style, I express the dancing palms, the warm balmy rain, and the ocean’s Aloha.
My artistic style draws from time spent in nature and moments of spiritual reflection. My exposure to contemporary and conceptual art has added meditative aspects to my newest work. I primarily use oil paint with pallet knife application, and I’m heavily influenced by my experience in printmaking and sculpture.
My passion to create is fueled by the Creator of the universe. I believe the Lord is the spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So as I create works of art, I fix my eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. To me, my art signifies a grounded sense of contentment, joy, confidence in what I hope for, and an assurance about what I cannot see.

Trenna began her journey into art in high school and college in the Pacific Northwest. She continually won awards for her involvement in the arts, which often led to painting giant murals and backdrops for the school plays. She won awards for the Art and Music programs throughout her studies. Early in her career she studied with famed Navajo Shaman and artist David “Chetlehe” Paladin in Prescott Arizona. His artistic techniques and spiritual teaching still touch her and influence her work today.
Her philosophical nature and motherhood sparked a need to write and for several years Trenna painted with words and developed a series of self-responsibility adventure stories for children. Her return to her studies at the UCLA Design School in California brought back to life the roots and the longing to return to her art. It seemed to be very natural to apply architectural insights to creating a series of tropical fantasy island huts and a series of greeting cards for Island Heritage in Honolulu. Her work was soon appearing in Aloha Airlines, Artists of Hawaii, and hanging in the Collectors Galleries on Maui and Kauai. The Palms Hotel and Casino, commissioned Trenna to produce southwestern pastels for their hotel in Las Vegas. Her work hangs numerous resorts around the world including Sandals Resort on Negril Beach in Jamaica. The City of Golden Colorado, through it’s GURA project chose Trenna to create a banner for the Darling Neighborhood Community Garden, it hangs at the Natural Grocers in Golden Colorado.
As the “Painter of Journeys” Trenna specializes in private commissions for clients who wish to bring their travels to life in paintings that will then hang in their homes and evoke the memories of those cherished journeys.
Trenna currently divides her time between Kauai and Boulder. In Colorado, “Romancing the Rockies is rich with history and scenic beauty. She finds the Hawaiian Islands a constant source of inspiration with her “Passion for Paradise”. You may find her painting Plein Air or being inspired on the Hanalei River.

Artists Statement
Born in Shanghai, China, Dorothy Yung left China in 1949 with her family, first to Hong Kong and then later to Brazil. In 1958, she came to the U.S. to study art at Garland Jr. College in Massachusetts. Influenced by the Impressionist and Cubist masters, Yung created her own, intensely personal artistic style called ‘Spiritual Dimensionalism’. When viewed closely, her paintings reveal multiple dimensions with a graceful array of spirits that re-tell stories with ancient Chinese poetry, making them more relevant today than perhaps they’ve ever been. Chinese poetry and Western expressionism blend together on her canvas, not as separates or opposites, but as one. Through her paintings, the spirit world dances like whispers from another world, and worlds within worlds, reminding us here on earth that there is much more to life than the physical world.

“Wherever my art journey leads me, I am sure my creation will follow me. If someday death claims me, my creation will glorify me”, he remarks.
NOELITO’s artworks are being displayed at the ALOHA Images in Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii and exclusive galleries in the Philippines.
ROMME
ROMME first began painting at tender age of eight (8) prior to becoming a professional fine artist. He has since received numerous commissions from prominent art collectors in Manila, Australia, Europe and United States of America.
ROMME is completely self-taught, and started painting from his early childhood. He has brilliantly succeeded in capturing the energy and peaceful allure of verdant mountains and valleys, tropical falls, and ocean waves. ROMME’s style is an art practice that reflects a deep relationship with its subjects. His paint pallet consists of only the most basic colors, and his early experiences have honed an ability to mix and blend colors and hues with utmost expertise.
In 2005, he turned to professional art, and his paintings immediately found an enthusiastic audience all over the United States and Europe. Shortly thereafter, ROMME developed relationships in Manila and the beautiful islands of Hawaii, and his presence and popularity continue to grow.
ROMME’s artworks are displayed in the several galleries in the Philippines and Aloha Images in Kauai, Hawaii, USA.
