Carnabuci

Anthony L. Carnabuci was born in Massachusetts on August 23, 1966. A child of an artistic family, he was encouraged to pursue his love of painting.  He attended Rhode Island School of Design in 1984 and was selected for RISD’s European Honors Program in Rome, where for a year, he has the opportunity to study the “Old Masters” first hand! He was particularly influenced by the dramatic lighting effects in the paintings of Caravaggio.

In addition to his painting career he has illustrated award winning children’s books for major publishers such as Viking and Simon and Schuster and has sold tens of thousands of copies, capturing the imagination of children worldwide.  Known for his versatility in style and subject matter Carnabuci has taken on the color and light of Hawaii with great love and respect.
